Well we might think that we drink water only to quench our thirst or to survive. However, there are actually several other functions that are carried out by water which is present in one’s body. We all know that maximum percentage of our body is constituted by water. Even the quality and the beauty of our skin are determined by the water content in our body. Moisturizer is basically a complex mixture of various chemical agents which are made in the form of semi fluid substances or creams. It is only to be applied on the outer surface of the skin. During the winters the dry air takes away all the moisture content of your skin which is in the form of water. Moisturizers and creams when applied on the external layers of the skin regains back the moisture content of the skin by increasing the hydration process in the skin. This in turn makes the skin very soft and also helps in regaining back its natural glow. When the skin becomes dry then it cannot be stretched and when it gets stretched due to various body movements then it tears away rather being stretched. Moisturizers and cream regains this property of the skin when applied to the skin. As it returns back the water content of the outer layer of the skin i.e. epidermis, the skin expands when it is stretched. Though various creams and moisturizers are available in the market still there are many natural elements which are used to make homemade moisturizers. Many people prefer homemade moisturizers and creams over the ones that are available in the market.moisturizers2.jpg

Well moisturizers and creams are the ones that are to be applied on the external parts of the skin. For the internal parts that are more delicate like the sexual organs which are also affected during the winter season there are special substances named lubricants. Lubricants are the ones that are applied on the sexual organs so as to maintain the smoothness and softness of the same and to avoid irritation. Application of creams and moisturizers in those places is not advisable and should be avoided.

The soap thus is a regular fixture in every household. The soap can be bought from the market but the novelty lies in the preparation of the soap at home. Thus the article gives an insight into the preparation of soap at home.soap3.jpg

Preparation of soap at home

The preparation of soap can be done even if the resources are low. The main ingredient in this soap is the oil. The recipe of this soap is designed as such that any oil can be used to the complete strength of its bottle. The soap made is generally done in two parts. The two parts are lye and water. Apart from these there is a mixture of oils for the preparation of the soap. The lye and the water should be mixed first. The mixture of the lye and water generally becomes very hot. Thus the mixture must be cooled down before it is being mixed with the oil. Before the mixture is being added to the oil it must be heated gently. The type of oil used must be stuck till the end of preparation. If the type of oil is being changed the saphonification index might also change. The measure of lye turning oil into soap is fixed thus the lye and the oil should be in their fixed proportion. After the lye is being mixed with the oil it has to be molded in a shape. The shape of the soap must be decided keeping in mind the instrument available for the cutting of the soap.soap2.jpgsoap2.jpg

A large sized soap cannot be cut by a knife. It is very difficult to judge when the mixture of the lye and the oil has become soap. The method of confirmation of whether the mixture of oil and le has turned out to be soap is being called as trace. When the dribble of soaps starts collecting at the surface rather than sinking at the bottom of the container then it should be realized that the soap is ready. A drop of honey can be put on the surface which will eventually flatten out. The soap can be now taken out from the mould and is ready to use.
